Privacy Policy

Who we are
FishFinder (fishfinder.world) is operated by WyatEarp Studios Inc. This policy describes information handled when you browse our fishing guides, search for waters or campsites, use location features, follow links, or contact us.
For privacy questions or requests, email hello@wyatearp.com. Please do not send passwords, payment details or precise fishing locations unless they are necessary for your request.
Information collected when you use the site
Search terms and selected filters are sent to our service to return results. Some filters appear in the page URL and can remain in browser history or links you share. Avoid entering sensitive personal information in searches.
Our hosting and technical service providers process connection and usage information, such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser and device information, timestamps and errors, to deliver, secure and troubleshoot the site. Request logs may contain search parameters.
If you email us, we receive your email address, message and any information you choose to include. We use this to respond and handle your request.
Location and Near Me
Location features ask for your browser's permission. You can decline and continue browsing, or revoke permission in your browser or device settings.
For water searches and species Near Me results, distance calculations use your device coordinates in browser memory rather than sending them to our search API. These coordinates are not included in the sharing links generated by those controls.
Campsite Near Me currently sends latitude and longitude to our campsite API to find nearby results. These request parameters may appear in technical logs. This differs from water and species Near Me; do not use campsite Near Me if you do not want to send precise location to our service.
Your browser or device location service has its own privacy practices. Opening an external map shares information with that map provider under its policies.
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand site usage. Our app-controlled pageviews are designed to send route-level URLs without query strings or fragments. Our custom search-sharing events report outcomes without search terms, filters, precise coordinates or shared links.
Other configured analytics may include Plausible and Replit-provided analytics. Provider-managed automatic tracking is separate from app-controlled events and may process browser, device, IP-derived location, page URL or referral information according to its settings. Removing details from one event does not remove them from all provider tracking.
Google Analytics may use cookies or similar technologies. Browser privacy controls, cookie controls and Google's Analytics opt-out tool can limit collection. Blocking analytics does not prevent ordinary browsing.
Advertising, cookies and your choices
FishFinder includes Google AdSense advertising code. Google and other third-party advertising vendors may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on your prior visits to this site or other websites.
Google's advertising cookies enable Google and its partners to show ads based on visits to FishFinder and other sites on the Internet. Advertising providers may process identifiers, IP addresses, browser information and ad interactions. Whether ads are personalized depends on applicable consent requirements, choices and provider settings.
You can manage or opt out of Google's personalized advertising through Google My Ad Center. Participating third-party vendors also provide choices through the Digital Advertising Alliance. These controls may be browser- or device-specific and do not necessarily stop all advertising.
Where a consent message is displayed, use its consent, refusal or manage-options controls to choose among the purposes and partners shown. You can also block or clear cookies through your browser. Clearing cookies may reset saved consent choices. Contact us if you need help changing or withdrawing a choice.
This policy describes data practices; it is not itself a consent mechanism. Browser location permission is separate from advertising or analytics consent.
Affiliate links and external services
Some gear, travel or booking links are affiliate links. We may earn a commission if you use them, as disclosed alongside relevant links. Merchants and affiliate networks may receive referral identifiers and process cookies, device information and purchase activity under their own policies.
Purchases and bookings take place with the linked provider, not through FishFinder's own checkout. That provider handles any payment or booking information you give it. External fishing authorities, map providers and other linked websites also have their own privacy practices.
Purposes, sharing and legal grounds
We process information to provide search and location results, operate and secure the site, respond to messages, understand usage and support advertising and affiliate referrals. Where applicable, processing relies on consent for activities that require it, legitimate interests in operating and protecting the site, or compliance with legal obligations.
Hosting, technical, analytics, advertising and referral providers may process information for these purposes. Information may also be disclosed where required by law or necessary to protect rights and security. Providers may process information outside your country, where privacy laws can differ.
Retention and security
Retention depends on the information and purpose, including responding to requests, operating the service, security and legal requirements. Provider-held logs, cookies and analytics records have their own retention settings and policies; there is no single retention period that covers all services described here. Contact us for questions about a particular record.
No website or transmission method can guarantee complete security. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is unnecessary for using FishFinder or resolving a request.
Your privacy rights
Depending on your location and applicable law, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or obtain a copy of personal information, restrict or object to processing, withdraw consent, or opt out of certain advertising-related processing. Withdrawing consent does not affect processing that was lawful before withdrawal.
To make a request, email hello@wyatearp.com and describe what you need. We may need proportionate information to verify your request. You may also have the right to complain to your local privacy or data-protection authority.
Children and policy updates
FishFinder's general fishing information is not intended to collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided personal information to us, contact us so we can review and address it.
We may update this policy when site features or data practices change. The last-updated date identifies the version shown here.
